This past week, I did something that is very unlike me. I was in New Bern, North Carolina, and we went to a place that had an electronic bull. You know the thing that bounces you around and then throws you off. I don't know what got into me, but I tried it. I guess just to say that I did it. Well, needless to say the ride didn't last long. I bounced around for a few seconds and then flew across the room, landing on my, well, landing. I was sore today and didn't know why. John and Melissa reminded me of my ride -- that explains it! At least I can say that I tried it, and I highly doubt that a being a rodeo performer is in my future -- but never say never.
Here are some shots from the tour. Unfortunately, they didn't get a shot of me on the bull -- they weren't quick enough.
The first picture is a typical evening in my hotel room, Melissa and John (he took the picture) would come over so we could eat, and Melissa and I would get in a little rehearsal. Notice the bedspread and the club sandwich -- I wasn't kidding.
The next picture is of me dropping the ceremonial hockey puck at an event in Grand Rapids. I was glad to see that I didn't have to wear ice skates.
Keep listening.
